Land-use webinar series offered by Penn State Extension

Penn State Extension is offering a monthly webinar series, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Planning Association (PA-APA), to provide in-depth information on land use topics affecting the communities of Pennsylvania, including current planning issues, land-use planning tools and techniques, and local regulations. This series benefits land owners, farmers, elected and appointed officials, developers, and community members who are involved in decision-making processes regarding using or preserving natural resources.

The monthly webinars are offered from 12:00-1:15 p.m. Eastern and include the following topics:
- January 18 — Management of Vegetation on Utility Transmission Lines
- February 15 — Community Schoolyards: A Solution for Increasing Park Access in Urban, Suburban, and Rural Communities
- March 15 — Local Climate Action Planning: Penn State and Municipal Partners Implementing Together
- April 12 (Please note 2nd Wednesday, not 3rd Wednesday) — Pennsylvania’s State Recreation Plan: Meshing Community-Based Planning with State Initiatives
- May 17 — Transportation, Transit, and Land Use: What are the connections?
Cost:
- Individual webinars — $15
- Non-Credit Registration for series — $50 RLA
- Credit Registration for series — $65 CM Credit Registration Fee for series — $95
Each webinar is 1.25 CM credits or 6.25 CM credits for the series
